This page explains what happens when you submit a dog photo and optional note. Dog Says Hi is operated by Qomza, LLC.

Information you submit

A lookup is sent only after you choose a photo and press the submit button. Your photo and any note you add go to Qomza through this site's Worker. The Worker also sends your Cloudflare connecting IP to Qomza as request metadata. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

Each lookup also carries technical request metadata: the app's name, version, and build; the kind of lookup (a dog photo); a random request identifier generated for that submission; your browser's preferred-language tag; and a fixed product filename — your own file name is not forwarded.

How long lookup records stay

Qomza’s gateway keeps what you send for each lookup, including your photo, any note, and the Cloudflare connecting IP sent with the lookup, as well as the result it returns and related service information in its records. These records are not deleted automatically; they stay there until the gateway operator removes them.

Abuse prevention

For abuse prevention, Cloudflare applies a best effort limit configured for 10 analysis requests per 60 seconds per connecting IP in each Cloudflare location. Requests that reach the limiter count before the photo or note is checked, including requests with invalid content. Enforcement can vary by location, and people sharing a public IP may share the allowance.

Website analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics reports page views and visits, referring sources, approximate visitor country, and browser breakdowns of page-load timings and Core Web Vitals. Its automatically injected beacon loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends measurements to this site's /cdn-cgi/rum endpoint.
